According to our legislation, usually foreigners can only get a limited stay visa which is given to person of foreign origin for the purpose of:
working, making commercial film, enrolling at education institution, attending training course, foreign investment, family reunion, etc.
Length of stay between 6 (six) months and maximum 2 (two) years.

Moreover, for those purposes, you need to have a local sponsor. If you and your wife already have an official invitation or contract to work in Indonesia, it means that the company or institution which give those documents, should be your sponsor and they have to arrange all the requirements for you and your wife in order to get working permit from the related institutions in Indonesia. But if you have no local sponsor, it will be very difficult for us to give you a limited stay visa.
